The base element has a raised edge to hold the picture in place. When changing the picture, cut-outs at the corners make removal easier. The background board is made of ageing-resistant KLUG-CONSERVATION PAT-tested cardboard in a colour of your choice.

Steel fortifies wood
Wooden top frames are glued in the corners. They are additionally strengthened with corner angles made of steel to achieve high stability even with delicate wood frames.
Colours and combinations
The shin colour can be selected matching the top frame and background cardboard. For example, combine a white background cardboard with a white distance shin. Silver shins are a good option for silver top frames or grey background cardboard, while black shins are an ideal choice for black top frames or black background cardboard.

Glass with maximum impact
The frame can be equipped with various types of glass. For optimum depth effect and optical sharpness, use brilliant glass, e. g. the colour-neutral and brilliant white glass or the optical-interference anti-reflection white glass Artglass AR 92 with UV protection against ageing and colour changes.
Theftproof art
The frame can be securely fixed to the wall and protected against unauthorized opening. Also it can be combined with HALBE picture safety devices.

Depth effect
The magnetic spacer strips create an impressive effect of depth for your object. The distance from the glass can be 10 or 20 millimetres.

Distance magnetic frame as Conservo
The CONSERVO-DISTANCE magnetic frame is the further development of two frame types: This is based on the CONSERVO magnetic frame, with the difference that it is equipped with a full-surface rear wall made of eloxated aluminium and magnetic distance strips in 5 or 10 mm height. Thus it offers the additional advantages of the DISTANCE magnetic frame. In addition, the aluminium rear panel offers extra stability and flatness even for thinner KLUG corrugated cartons, museum cartons or folding passe-partouts. All other features of the CONSERVO magnetic frame are of course retained - the invisible BS 1 R picture lock is also available as an option.
A spacer frame is used when you want to frame three-dimensional objects or mount works on paper floating. The frame is deeper than normal picture frames and creates a fixed distance between the glass and the back wall.
Our DISTANCE magnetic frame, like almost all HALBE picture frames, are also available with wooden profiles made of solid wood in various colourings and profile depths. We basically offer distance frames in oak, maple, alder, walnut and ash, each in different tints. On our site you can also find a complete profile and colour overview.
For maximum design freedom, you can order a spacer frame with either 10 mm or 20 mm spacing in our frame configurator. This way, the DISTANCE can be completely adapted to your needs.
